The driver, who was not identified, was taken to Brookdale Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The crash, at 8:20 a.m. at Rockaway Parkway and Avenue N, brought about 12 fire units and 60 firefighters to the scene, the spokesman said. A fire on the bus, which had no children aboard, did not extend to the house and was extinguished by 8:37 a.m., the spokesman said.
