Jessica Simpson wasn't planning to get "knocked up" just months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew.

"I was extremely shocked," the 32-year-old expectant mom told Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" Tuesday night.

In fact, getting pregnant has impeded her plans to marry fiance Eric Johnson - twice.

"We've had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up," said Simpson, who is slated to star in an upcoming NBC sitcom about her own life.
"We're doing it very backwards, I know," she added.

So, Simpson has a plan in mind concerning the next wedding date that she and 33-year-old Johnson set.

"I'll just keep my legs crossed, I guess," she joked.
