Seth MacFarlane: 'No way' would I host the Oscars again
Seth MacFarlane said "no way" to hosting the Oscars ever again.
The "Family Guy" star emceed the awards show Sunday to mixed reviews, with some calling his jokes racist, sexist and homophobic, but yesterday he tweeted that he won't be back.
"No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though," MacFarlene tweeted when asked whether he would return.
Still, MacFarlane's appeal among young people did though provide an 11 percent bump in the 18-49 demographic coveted by TV networks and advertisers. And overall viewer ratings were up, making for the largest Oscar audience in three years.
