Police arrested seven people in Zuccotti Park Tuesday as protesters there continued a sit-in that they say is aimed at bringing more attention to the country's economic disparity between the rich and poor.
One protester was arrested for using bullhorn without a permit, two for disorderly conduct, two for altercations with police, and two for failing to disperse, published reports said.
Thousands of protesters gathered near Wall Street on Saturday to begin what they call "Occupy Wall Street." The loosely defined group, of which about 100 or so people remain, has vowed to stay in the park until its demands are met, which include ending "corporate greed."
