"The Voice" is getting a bit of a shakeup for Season 4.

NBC has confirmed that Usher and Shakira will replace coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera for next season, saying that Green and Aguilera are only taking the season "off" for work obligations, and they plan to return to the competition series in the future. Green is working on new music and a scripted comedy for NBC based on his life, while Aguilera is releasing a new album and going on tour. Season 4 is set to tape in the spring.

Coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain on the panel.

"Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo," Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement.

Season 3 is now airing.
