Blame Tuesday’s lousy commute on the heat and ailing riders, not the service cuts.

The morning rush hour was thrown into a tizzy Tuesday when a confluence of problems spanning 11 lines left straphangers hot, angry and late.

“NO air conditioning or info revealing what was up,” one C train rider reported on Twitter. “Stressful to be hot AND uninformed.”

Riders were quick to blame their hellish commutes on the service cuts that rolled out Monday, and stormed Twitter with angry messages about getting to work late.

“If I lose my job, I'm going to sue (the) MTA!” wrote a No. 6 commuter. “Mind you, (the MTA) is discontinuing A HUGE AMOUNT of bus lines!!! WAKE UP PPL!!!”

Transit officials sent out tweets telling commuters to download a note explaining their tardiness to employers.

NYC Transit and union officials said the problems included: A burning insulator on the F tracks knocked out service on the Sixth and Eighth avenue lines for an hour. The entire B line was suspended. The D and F lines were rerouted. Sick customers delayed the No. 1, E and R. Heat-related signal problems jammed up the G and L.

The chaos forced the M train, which on Monday started to roll on its new Sixth Avenue route, to briefly rejoin its pals on the J and Z lines.

“The delays had nothing to do with the service changes,” the MTA tweeted Tuesday. “It was just a bad morning.”
