A one-night stand could have turned into a real nightmare of a situation for Simon Cowell.
The "X-Factor" head honcho's laptop -- containing classified information about his TV shows - was stolen by a gal he met at a Hollywood nightclub and then had a one-night stand with in October 2011.
"I got a bit sloshed drunk, and when I woke up, she'd pinched the laptop," Cowell told TMZ Live yesterday afternoon. "But we got it back that day ... It would've been a real problem if she would've gone into [the computer]."
That information and more juicy tidbits about Cowell's life were published in Tom Bower's upcoming Cowell biography, called "Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell."
Though Cowell got his laptop back, his fling reportedly also stole the 52-year-old entertainment mogul's wallet and kept the cash that was inside.
It’s unclear whether Cowell was still engaged to ex-fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy at the time, but sources close to Cowell told TMZ.com that the pair had already broken up by the time the alleged robbery happened.
