Someone is going to Azkaban for this.
Seats for "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling's sole 2012 U.S. appearance were double-booked after tickets to the event were made available 12 hours too early because of a "security breach," according to a spokeswoman for Jazz at Lincoln Center, where the Oct. 16 appearance will be held.
"Some people purchased tickets from this premature site, unaware that it was not a legitimate sale site," JALC spokeswoman Zooey Jones said. "We are working to accommodate each of these individuals to honor all tickets purchased."
The early tickets for the event went on sale Sunday at 10 p.m., 12 hours before they were scheduled to be available.
