Songwriter Brad Oberhofer reveals his 'Time Capsules'

There is a certain carelessness to the music of Brad Oberhofer.
Not careless in the sense that his joyful, frenetic pop creations are sloppy or unstudied.

Rather, the 20-something Brooklynite's freewheeling sense of emotion and inventive song structures make for an effortless display, capturing frames of youth and life with deep fidelity.

After signing last year with Glassnote Records, stateside home to acts such as Phoenix and Mumford & Sons, Oberhofer is celebrating the release of his debut album "Time Capsules II," recorded in Brooklyn with the famed Steve Lillywhite (U2), on Monday.
