Spotify to expand operation in city

Spotify, the music streaming service, announced Thursday that it will move from the Google building to a few blocks down on Sixth Avenue. The larger space will be available for 130 engineers and programmers who will join the staff of 70 sometime in 2014.

The mayor’s office has joined Spotify and created its own Gotham focused playlist.
