Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Kanye West and Jon Bon Jovi have signed on to the "12-12-12 (A Concert for Sandy Relief)" benefit concert at Madison Square Garden.

The Who, Roger Waters and Alicia Keys will also perform at the Dec. 12 fundraiser for the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which will aid victims of Hurricane Sandy. More performers are expected to be announced soon, along with ticket and broadcast information.

"'12-12-12' is shaping up to be a showcase of music royalty," organizers James Dolan, Madison Square Garden's executive chairman, Clear Channel president John Sykes and The Weinstein Company's chairman Harvey Weinstein said in a joint statement.

"The response from the entertainment community to help those most affected by Hurricane Sandy has been nothing short of astounding ... We are confident that the event will ensure those in need will not be forgotten," they said.

The event is being produced by music industry heavy-hitters Clear Channel Entertainment, The Weinstein Company and The Madison Square Garden Company - the same companies who banded together to organize "The Concert for New York City" benefit after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Long Island native Joel, New Jersey's Springsteen and Bon Jovi recently performed at NBC's "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" telethon, which raised $23 million for the American Red Cross' Sandy relief efforts.
