Staten Island DA, cops bust alleged drug ring

Thirty-nine people in Staten Island have been rounded up for allegedly running a drug and gun ring for years.

The suspects, whose ages ranged from 24 to 39 and included code names like "Sha-Gotti" and "One-Eyed Will," were charged with various crimes including attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and dealing cocaine, according to the Staten Island district attorney

During the 16-month investigation, undercover officers c surveilled on the individuals, many of whom had gang ties and allegedly smuggled drugs and guns from Mexico and Canada and sold them in Staten Island neighborhoods.

Cops seized six guns, a kilogram of cocaine from Staten Island and 21 kilograms of cocaine in Texas, according to the DA.
