A toddler was reportedly shot in the head by a stray bullet during a fight in Staten Island Wednesday afternoon.

The unidentified girl, who is less than 2-years-old, was accidentally hit during a fight outside an apartment complex just before 2 p.m., according to the Daily News.

"The baby had blood all over the place - on her face and on her neck," witness Samantha James told the paper. "She was crying. She was gasping for air. She couldn't breathe.”

The New York Post reported the child was in critical condition Wednesday night at Richmond University Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman did not return a call for comment at press time.

An NYPD spokesman said he did not have information on the shooting Wednesday night. “We’re trying to separate fact from fiction,” he said.

Cops reportedly arrested an unidentified suspect yesterday after he fled.
