Stranger Than Fiction highlights top docs

Stranger Than Fiction, New York’s best documentary film series, officially kicks off its fall season next week but begins in earnest Wednesday, with a sneak preview of “Muscle Shoals,” about the eponymous Alabama town’s heralded role in the music industry. Here’s what you’ll find at the IFC Center over the next nine weeks, thanks to ace husband-and-wife programming team Thom Powers and Raphaela Neihausen, who’ll bring with them the filmmakers for Q&As.
