For the next month, Bronx straphangers are going to have a harder time getting around on the weekends.
The No. 2 train will be suspended on July weekends between Grand Concourse and East 180th St. after 3:30 a.m. Saturday and the No. 5 train will not run at all. Service will resume on Sunday at 10 p.m. Those trains also won’t make stops on July 4 until after 6 p.m. to accommodate those traveling to see the fireworks in lower Manhattan.
Shuttle buses will replace the trains between Grand Concourse and E. 180th St.
The MTA says the service changes are due to track panel installation between Jackson Ave. and Freeman St.
