Subway service restored near NYC warehouse fire
Subway service that had been disrupted by a fire at a New York City warehouse has been restored.
Transit officials say service was back at 5:15 a.m. Friday between Broadway Junction and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue. But they say trains are bypassing the Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street station in both directions.
Service was suspended Thursday night because of a smoke condition at the Wilson Avenue station.
The fire was reported at a two-story cabinet warehouse in Bushwick. The fire department says one firefighter has been injured. It says the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined but the fire isn’t considered suspicious.
