Let the "Countdown" begin: Beyonce is set to headline Super Bowl XLVII's halftime show.
The former Destiny's Child diva will be the marquee performer at the Feb. 3 championship game at the Superdome in New Orleans, according to the singer and show's organizers.
Beyonce confirmed rumors that she'd booked the gig by posting a photo of herself online with the date of the game inked on her cheeks.
It's unknown what songs the 16-time Grammy winner will perform, but it wouldn't be a shock if she played some of her best-known hits, including "Single Ladies," "Irreplaceable" and "Crazy In Love."
This won't be Beyonce's first Super Bowl gig. Mrs. Jay-Z, 31, belted out the national anthem at 2004's Super Bowl XXXVIII in her hometown of Houston.
Madonna performed at last year's halftime show, which also featured Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and LMFAO, and was met with mixed reviews.
