Suri Cruise to attend a posh new private school, not Catholic school

Six-year-old Suri Cruise will not be attending an all-girls Catholic school this September as previously reported but a posh new private school, Avenues: The World School, to open this Fall in Chelsea, Life & Style has reported.
Suri's mom, actress Katie Holmes, will be shelling out a $39,750 a year tuition plus a $2,000 mandatory materials fee to send Suri to the ambitious "learning community" that stresses a global curriculum. Avenues is helmed by Chris Whittle, the educational entrepreneur who founded Edison Schools, the for-profit school chain that promoted the use of school vouchers.
The Avenues under construction in Chelsea to be the flagship of a chain of 20 or so campuses that include Moscow, Mumbai, Buenos Aires and Beijing.
