Susan Sarandon is doing her part to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The longtime New Yorker is hosting a fundraising party at her East 23rd Street ping-pong club SPiN on Friday night, benefiting those who lost their homes in Breezy Point.

"Time and again New Yorkers have proven to be the most resilient and compassionate people in the world," Sarandon told us Thursday. "It's a privilege to help support some of the families that have been devastated."

The event, dubbed SPiN for a Cause, is free to the public, but a $20 donation gets attendees free cocktails from 8-10 p.m.
