A suspect in the fatal stabbing of Anthony Lacertosa, the 27-year-old bricklayer killed outside his engagement party in Staten Island, was arrested Tuesday outside Chicago, according to published reports.

According to reports, Redinel Dervishaj, 35, who fled New York after the alleged altercation with Lacertosa at Espana Restaurant and Lounge, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. at an aunt's house in Palos Hills, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.

Dervishaj was allegedly seen in surveillance video stabbing Lacertosa after the groom-to-be and his friends vandalized furniture outside the restaurant and tossed Dervishaj to the ground, according to The New York Post.

The tape showed a man believed to be Dervishaj going into the restaurant- located on Annandale Road - and grabbing a knife to confront the rowdy group after a gun brandished by the restaurant manager failed to discharge, the paper reported.

Dervishaj was shot twice by a contractor during a 2007 Queens extortion attempt. He pleaded guilty to attempted grand larceny and was sentenced to time served. Dervishaj's older brother, Plaurent Dervishaj, 39, is one of Albania's most-wanted fugitives, sought for allegedly murdering at least four rival gang leaders.

A task force comprised of the NYPD's Fugitive Squad, Staten Island Homicide, 123rd Precinct detectives, U.S. Marshals, the Cook County Sheriff's office and the Palos Hills police department were involved in the arrest, reports said.

Lacertosa's funeral is scheduled for Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Staten Island.
