A 21-year-old man walking on a street in Elmont was jumped by two men who rifled his pockets and took cash and the keys to his apartment Thursday, police said.

When the victim returned home, he found his apartment also had been burglarized.

Nassau County police are searching for the two men. They're asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

The incident occurred on Hendrickson Avenue at 10:50 a.m., when the victim was approached by the two men.

One man grabbed him from behind, while the other went through his pockets, according to police. They took cash and the apartment keys.

Police said when the victim returned home, he found that two laptop computers had been stolen.
