Thierry Henry, the new French forward of the New York Red Bulls, paid $14.8 million for a triplex apartment in SoHo.

The listings broker for City Connections says Henry made the offer after looking at the penthouse apartment on Crosby Street three times. Henry has been actively shopping for a downtown apartment for months.

According to the listing, the 5,607-square-foot apartment has three bedrooms, three and a half baths and an additional 4,500 square feet of outdoor space — including a bamboo grove in an interior courtyard.

Other bells and whistles include a media room, wet bar and 17-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.

The 33-year-old player, could not be reached for comment, was a member of the French teams that won the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship.

Henry will be living near singer Alicia Keys, who moved to Crosby Street earlier this year, according to brokers.

Although Henry is a soccer player of international acclaim, thus far he has managed to keep a low profile among New Yorkers.

Henry signed a 41/2 year contract with the New York Red Bulls in July. He’s expected to make $4.5 million this season, according to the MLS player’s union.
