Swizz Beatz sells his Muhammad Ali art piece for $24,000

Rapper and producer Swizz Beatz has added another job to his resume: visual artist.

The Bronx native auctioned off his first original art piece — a vibrant portrait of Muhammad Ali painted on a vintage Porsche hood — at a benefit for Smile Design Gallery on Tuesday night.

The piece sold for a whopping $24,000, but that doesn’t mean it was easy for Swizz to see it go.

“It was a lot of work. I hated to give it up,” he told us at the event, held at Provocateur. “But it’s for a great cause and was well worth the hours and hours of sweat.”
