Taylor Swift has added to her arsenal of songwriting material.

The 22-year-old songstress - famous for penning tunes about her famous exes - has reportedly split from younger beau Conor Kennedy, whom she dated seriously for a few months.

"They quietly parted ways a while ago," a close friend of Swift's told Us Weekly. "It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine."

Conor, 18, is the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy.

"It's been over a month since they've even seen each other," the pal said. "With her promotion for [her album] 'Red,' she has no time off until the end of the year."

When interviewed on "Good Morning America" earlier this week, Swift would not directly answer questions about her relationship with Conor, saying she prefers to sing about her love life: "I really think that it sounds more poetic and romantic with music behind it."

Swift has dated celebs including Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer.
