Tim Tebow has reportedly signed with the New England Patriots after being unceremoniously dumped by the Jets in April.
The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback is expected to join the Patriots' minicamp on Tuesday, ESPN reported Monday.
With the Jets, Tebow, 25, was a highly touted recruit from the Denver Broncos, attracting a media circus that never lived up to his gameplay. Tebow was rarely used during his sole 2012 season as a backup Jets quarterback. He played 12 games, racked up eight passes for 39 yards and threw no touchdowns.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick last month was reported to have said he "hates" Tebow, but told ESPN Boston that the remark was "completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible."
