Two teenage brothers have been arrested for allegedly murdering a 12-year-old New Jersey girl who vanished while riding her bike over the weekend, officials said Tuesday.
Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said the unidentified 15- and 17-year-old boys are accused of murdering Autumn Pasquale before dumping her body in a recycling bin. She was found Monday night.
"Autumn was lured into the juveniles' house, where this crime was committed," Dalton said in a news conference Tuesday.
Officials believe she died from "blunt force trauma, consistent with strangulation," he said. There were no signs of sexual assault.
The teens' mother called cops after one of her sons posted on Facebook about Pasquale, according to Dalton.
