A 13-year-old Brooklyn boy riding his bicycle was mowed down by a hit-and-run driver Saturday afternoon, officials said Sunday.
Police believe Henry Garcia fell off his bike in the middle of a Bensonhurst street at around 2:45 p.m. when a driver in a green Ford Explorer hit him from behind and drove off. An FDNY spokesman said Garcia went into cardiac arrest and EMS workers rushed him to Cornell Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Cops were still searching for the driver Sunday, and said the investigation was ongoing.
