If you’re taking the No. 7 line to the U.S. Open, here are some eats to consider.

Times Square-42nd Street
The fare at Dean & DeLuca Cafe in the New York Times Building is made for travel. Try one of the daily specials, such as the T.L.T. ($9), a roasted turkey, lettuce and tomato sandwich with truffle mayo. The selection of treats this location stocks is almost impossible to resist. (620 Eighth Ave., 212-221-0308)

Grand Central-42nd Street
The Tennis Take-Out packs ($20-$28) from The Grand Hyatt’s Market — complete with an adorable tennis-racquet cookie — are a picnic ready to go. (42nd Street at Lexington Avenue)

103rd Street-Corona Plaza
Luckily for U.S. Open visitors, the Queens location of popular Guatemalan chicken chain Pollo Campero is virtually on the way to the tournament. The detour for the sensational chicken, which comes either grilled or fried, is worth it. (103-16 Roosevelt Ave., 718-205-6943)

Flushing-Main Street
Flushing’s Chinatown is just one stop beyond the tennis center on the No. 7 line; a container of red-chili-oil wontons ($3.75) from the tiny counter at White Bear (135-02 Roosevelt Ave.) is worth the trip alone. Close by is Spicy & Tasty (39-07 Prince St.), a Sichuan dining room that features cold salads and unusual dishes that live up to the restaurant’s name.
