'The Playboy Club' gets axed after just three episodes

Well, that was fast.
After just three episodes on air, NBC newbie “The Playboy Club” has gotten the boot.
Meanwhile, two NBC fall premieres have gotten picked up for the remainder of the 2011-12 season, NBC announced Tuesday: Whitney Cummings’ “Whitney” and “Up All Night,” starring Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph.
That leaves Eddie Cibrian, left, and the rest of the “Playboy” crew searching for new jobs.
