Delta Air Lines is going to the birds.

Two penguins, Penny and Pete, flew first class via Delta flight 486 from Atlanta to New York Wednesday night for the New York premiere of "Frozen Planet," Discovery Channel’s new documentary series, narrated by notorious American Airlines passenger Alec Baldwin.

Penny and Pete, clocking in at around 18 inches apiece and 12 and 6 years old, respectively, waddled up and down the aisle as passengers gawked and snapped photos, Yahoo! reported.

The series, whose screening was held Thursday at Lincoln Center, focuses on the lives of arctic animals at the North and South Poles.

A "polar-themed" party hosted by Baldwin, Glenn Close and Dustin Hoffman followed the premiere, according to Yahoo, where the tuxedo-clad guests of honor watched on from a private icebox after walking the red carpet.

And though penguins can't fly themselves, they seem to be taking over the skies – just last month, three penguins walked the cabin of a Southwest flight from Orlando to LaGuardia. Why? Because. That's why.
