Time Square evacuated after 'suspicious package' found
Times Square has been evacuated after a "suspicious package" was found.
Police say the package is at 46th Street and Broadway, a few blocks from where a smoking SUV and failed car bomb was found Saturday night.
Broadway has been closed between 42nd street and 47th street.
Office workers in a building at 45th and Broadway were notified by an announcement on the loudspeaker about the package, and told to stay indoors until further notice.
Television footage showed several streets cleared of car traffic. Police didn’t immediately provide further details.
