Tom Cruise is 'heartbroken' he hasn't seen Suri in 2 months

He may be one of the most powerful people in Hollywood and crowned one of the sexiest men alive, but Tom Cruise is "heartbroken" at not having seen his daughter in almost two months, according to a story in the new issue of People magazine.

While Cruise, 50, talks to his 6-year-old daughter, Suri, on the phone "many times a day," he has not seen her since the two returned from a Disney World trip Aug. 5, according to People.

"I've got to see her," the actor is quoted as telling a friend. "I miss her."

Cruise has been based in London since mid-August shooting "All You Need Is Kill." Katie Holmes, who filed for divorce from Cruise and for primary custody of Suri on June 29, reportedly canceled a trip their daughter was to take to see Cruise this month because she is still settling into first grade at her $40,000-a-year private school in Chelsea called Avenues: The World School, which prepares students for "global life."

Yes, Cruise has the money and means to fly to NYC for a day, but "there's a commitment (to his movies) that is huge while all this enormous change is happening in his personal life," his friend screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie told the magazine. "You can't simply put a movie on hold and go off and deal with your personal issues," McQuarrie said.

The divorce was reportedly finalized on Aug. 20, with liberal visitation rights awarded to Cruise.
