Train service suspended for kitten rescue

MTA shut off power at a Brooklyn subway station Thursday so workers could rescue two kittens that found themselves on the tracks, briefly suspending service on part of the B and Q line.
The MTA said service between DeKalb Avenue and Kings Highway was disrupted when a train supervisor requested for the power to tracks be cut at the Church Avenue stop in Flatbush around 11 a.m. so the kittens could be removed from a southbound track. The felines, however, ran away, the spokeswoman said. Service was restored shortly after 1 p.m.
