Athletic gear isn't just for the gym this season.
Sporty styles cascaded down the spring 2012 runways at Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone and Nicole Miller - to name a few - making a statement that casual is the way go to.
We're not talking literal workout clothes here - many of spring's top styles take inspiration from activewear and add feminine touches in the form of cut, color and atypical prints. Pieces can also be paired unexpectedly - try a cropped sweatshirt and a pleated skirt or a track jacket over a girly frock.
