A funeral for a former governor. Two daytime baseball games. A late-afternoon visit from the president.

It's likely all these events will make New York City hell on wheels on Thursday.

You want gridlock? Officials are advising drivers not to drive Thursday if possible. If you do, it's at your own risk -- the risk of aggravation over the delays you'll likely face.

The traffic nightmare began at 10 a.m. with the funeral at St. Patrick's Cathedral for former Gov. Hugh Carey, who died Sunday at his home on Shelter Island at age 92.

Then, the Mets host the San Diego Padres at Citi Field at 12:10 p.m., while the Yankees host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx at 1:05 p.m.

President Barack Obama is due in town at 5 p.m. He'll be in New York for stops at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park and another fundraiser in the West Village.
