One man died and another miraculously escaped death Wednesday in separate incidents on subway tracks, officials said.

In the first incident, a man jumped in front of the southbound F train at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Island station in Queens around 11 a.m., officials said, delaying service in both directions for about an hour. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the second incident, which is still under investigation, a man either jumped or fell in front of the northbound No. 1 train at the Columbus Circle station around noon. He was in critical condition.
