Investigators foiled a disturbing plot that called for Justin Bieber's murder at Madison Square Garden.
Albuquerque, N.M., officers revealed Wednesday that two would-be hit men from their area tried to kill and castrate the 18-year-old sensation before his performances last month in New York, according to a local TV station, KRQE-TV.
Officers picked up Mark Staake, 41, and his nephew Tanner Ruane, 23, at the Vermont-Canadian border Tuesday, weeks after they aborted the plan they concocted with Dana Martin, a murder convict and Bieber fan.
Martin is so obsessed with the singer that he has a tattoo of the him on his leg and came up with detailed instructions on how to kill Bieber.
However, cops recorded a conversation between Martin and the duo about the plot and Martin ultimately turned his accomplices in.
He also ordered the uncle and nephew to kill two other people, the TV station reported.
Bieber's representatives couldn't be reached for comment.
