Police say they've arrested a Valley Stream man in a Queens shooting that left a man and a teenage boy hospitalized.

The NYPD says officers chased Shannon Smith as he fled Thursday in a car and then on foot. They charged him with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

Police say officers found Smith, 34, with a stolen .45-caliber handgun and that he resisted arrest.

The shooting happened on 8th Street in Astoria around 4:40 p.m. Thursday.

Police say a 30-year-old man is in critical but stable condition at Elmhurst Hospital Center with wounds to his torso and leg.

The 15-year-old boy is in stable condition with a wound to his shoulder.
