Organizers say five Congressional Medal of Honor recipients are slated to march in New York City's annual Veterans Day Parade.

They include Marine Corps veteran Dakota Meyer and 94-year-old Nicholas Oresko, the nation's oldest living honoree.

President Barack Obama awarded Meyer the nation's top military honor last month. He saved 36 lives with repeated charges into Taliban gunfire. The other recipients served in Vietnam.

Friday's parade up Manhattan's Fifth Avenue will kick off at 11 a.m. It will include 28 active military units from all branches, as well as veterans groups, and high school bands from around the nation.

Other participants include Cuba Gooding Jr., riding on a float with the Tuskegee Airmen, and actor Tom Selleck.
