Was Ben Affleck crying on 'Saturday Night Live'?
Ben Affleck seemed to have a strange moment on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
As the Oscar-winning "Argo" director introduced musical guest Kanye West, Affleck appeared to be choking up and holding back tears.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here he is, the man you came to see, Kanye West," Affleck said, looking downtrodden, with his voice cracking as he said "gentlemen."
A five-time host of the show, Affleck was otherwise unaffected and his performances were practically giddy, as he struggled to hold back his laughter during many sketches.
Speculation was rampant Sunday about Affleck's tears, with some onlookers wondering whether the celebratory goodbyes on the show -- Bill Hader and Fred Armisen are confirmed to be leaving -- touched Affleck's heart.
Others thought perhaps the overt tribute to his wife, Jennifer Garner, in his monologue left him weepy.
Affleck was silent yesterday about possible causes.
