Water main break drenches 14th Street station, halts No. 1 train
A west side subway station Wednesday night took an impromptu shower as water from a busted main poured in, MTA officials said.
The deluge of water flooded the platform and northbound tracks of the local 1 train at the 14th Street station.
Power was cut to the 1 train tracks as northbound local service switched to express from Chambers Street to 34 St-Penn Station; the 2 and 3 trains are still running, but with delays, according to the MTA.
