For five weekends in October and November, there will be no No. 7 trains running between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square.

The shutdowns will allow crews to continue installing a modern automated signal system known as Communications-Based Train Control.

Service between Queens and Manhattan will be suspended on weekends in October, beginning Friday, as well as Nov. 8-11 and Nov. 22-25. The shutdowns start Fridays at 11:45 p.m. and last through Mondays at 5 a.m.

There will be alternative service on the E, F, N and Q trains and shuttle buses. The Times Square shuttle will be in operation throughout the weekend.
