Weiner makes morning-show rounds to boost campaign
Anthony Weiner's comeback campaign blitz continued Wednesday with an appearance on Fox 5's "Good Day New York." Here is some of the things he shared.
On his the effect of his lewd picture scandal on his campaign: "If someone wants to make fun of it because it's me, that's their prerogative. But I have to tell you, we had a debate yesterday on education -- these types of things did not come up."
On his critics who say he doesn't have a strong legislative influence: "I have a philosophy about getting things done and that is there's plenty of credit to go around but if anyone thinks I didn't fight for it they can just Google Anthony Weiner and 9/11 bill and they can see the product of my work."
On other candidates: "Part of this process is going to be to let voters decide whose ideas they think are better . . . I hope that this campaign, and it always is this way frankly, that the voters honor the idea that you're thinking through ideas and you want to make things better for them.
