White House gatecrasher Michaele Salahi, reported missing by her husband, Tareq Salahi, on Tuesday, appears to have run off with the multiply divorced, but apparently still married, lead guitarist of the band Journey.
A representative for the band told the website TMZ that “nobody kidnapped her, and they are in Memphis together,” where Journey is set to perform.
Salahi and Schon have dated in the past and had what Salahi characterized as an “intimate and passionate relationship,” TMZ reported.
Schon married model Amber Kozan in 2001.
Salahi was featured on a single-season show “The Real Housewives of D.C.” and was booted off “Celebrity Rehab” as a fraud, despite an obvious addiction to attention. She released a single in May called “Bump It” that she told one television interviewer was about “moving on to the next thing.”
Michaele and Tareq, whom she married in 2003, gained international attention for crashing a state dinner at the White House without an invitation in 2009.
Tareq told reporters that given the previous death threats the couple has received, he has not stopped believing that his wife may have been kidnapped. An abductor may have forced her to make calls to the Warren County sheriff saying she had left him of her own volition, he said.
