Whitney Port staging 1st solo runway show at Fashion Week

Remember Whitney Port, formerly of MTV's "The Hills" and its spinoff "The City?"

Well, you'll be hearing her name once again come February, when she hits New York Fashion Week to present her debut solo runway show for her women's line, Whitney Eve.

In the past, Port - who launched her line in 2008 - has shown her garments via presentations and group runway shows.

"My collection has grown so much over the past few years, and the next step for me as a designer was to put on my own runway show," Port, 26, said. "I am so excited to show on schedule as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, and can't wait to show my new fall collection on the runway."

The twice-yearly Fashion Week will take place from Feb. 9 to 16, with the shows' official headquarters at Lincoln Center. Port's show is scheduled for Feb. 15.
