The wife of the Jet Blue pilot who went berserk about three hours into a flight from New York to Las Vegas last Tuesday is grateful to the passengers who restrained her husband in the cabin.
"We would like to recognize the Crew and passengers of Flight 191 for their effective yet compassionate handling of the situation. . . . We know you were placed in an awful situation and we appreciate your ability to respond professionally," said Connye Osbon. Her husband, Clayton Osbon, is being treated at the Northwest Texas Health Care System in Amarillo, and stands accused of interfering with a flight crew.
Connye Osbon also thanked the medical professionals treating her husband and asked for privacy. No interview requests would be granted, she said, as "our focus completely surrounds Clayton's recovery and the path that lies immediately ahead."
