Police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old woman who crashed her car into a metal support beam from an elevated train in Brooklyn early Thursday morning, NYPD said.
The 2 a.m. crash caused the woman to be ejected from her blue 2007 Ford Explorer, which rolled over and crushed her. She was pronounced dead at the scene on West Brighton Avenue and West 1st Street, near the Q-train Ocean Parkway station.
The passenger, a 38-year-old friend of the victim, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition. The victim's name has not been released. An MTA spokeswoman said there was no affect on service.
