A woman was struck and killed by a tractor trailer as she rode a scooter early Monday morning in the West Village, officials said.

The 58-year-old was crossing Sixth Avenue about 8:50 a.m. when a tractor trailer turning onto the avenue hit her, according to police.

The woman, identified by the Daily News as Jessica Dworkin, was caught in trailer's rear wheels and dragged two blocks until someone notified the truck's driver.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters Monday that the driver stayed at the scene.

Police are still investigating the accident, but do not believe there was any criminality involved.
