Scored 49 goals, including three in overtime, plus 26 assists. Netted game-winner with 5.6 seconds left to nip Mount Sinai, 6-5, in county final and tallied six goals in state final. Committed to Army.

Scored 22 goals with 11 assists and was the first option in a balanced offense. Often got "locked off" by opposing defenders and other Flyers benefitted. Exceptionally accurate shooter. Committed to NCAA champion Yale.

Rarely surrendered a "bad" goal and made good stops in the big games. Had 13 saves in CHSAA final and back-to-back 10-save games vs. St. Anthony's and Manhasset in early May. Committed to Duke.

Classic sniper scored 70 goals, second best on Long Island. Was elusive around the cage and dangerous from all angles. MVP of state championship game with four goals and an assist. Committed to Providence.
Colin Hart, Garden City, D, Jr.

Starting quarterback on 2017 L.I. football champs; top defender on 2018 state lacrosse champs. Excelled on ground balls and in the clearing game, while often being assigned opponents' top scorer. Committed to Brown (lacrosse).

Do-it-all middie who scored (33 goals, 16 assists), defended, gathered ground balls from the wing and played in man-up and man-down situations. Won the Dellecave Award as Suffolk's top boys' scholar-athlete. Committed to Harvard.

Though he won 83% of his faceoffs, LaSalla wasn't merely a specialist. He rarely left the field as a two-way middie who led the Eagles with 54 points (36 goals). Committed to Virginia.

Played lock-down defense all year as part of a strong unit that surrendered a Suffolk-best 4.23 goals per game. Often drew other team's top scorer. Effective in the clearing game. Committed to Georgetown.

Terrific dodger who can finish and feed in traffic. No. 2 scorer in Suffolk with 59 goals, 46 assists. Scored six goals vs. Rocky Point and netted five goals four other times. Committed to Duke.

Powerful player who can "post up" smaller defenders to score in close but also possesses one of hardest shots around. Led CHSAA with 64 goals and added 34 assists. Committed as eighth-grader to Penn State.

A truly special specialist. Won 84 percent of his faceoffs and was a dangerous scoring option off the draw. Scored 11 goals with eight assists for the county Class A champions. Committed to Cornell.
Ethan Rall, Islip, D, Sr.

Led state champs in ground balls and takeaways. Skilled defender was also effective in transition game and played in man-up situations, tallying six goals plus eight assists. Four-year starter, two-year captain. Committed to Rutgers.
Tommy Rooney, St. Dominic, A, Sr.

Led CHSAA in scoring with 103 points, including 61 goals. Played for his father, Tom, and with his brother Jack (40 goals, 40 assists). They helped the Doms improve to 11-7. Committed to Siena.
John Sidorski, East Islip, A, Jr.

No. 3 in scoring in Suffolk with 102 points, noteworthy because he had more assists (57) than goals (45). Superb stick-work and footwork. Scored four goals in a game five times. Committed to Lehigh.
Max Verch, Syosset, LSM, Sr.

One of the Braves' co-captains and a four-year varsity starter whose last season was his best. Assigned the opponents' top-scoring midfielder and usually won his duels. Contributed three transition goals. Committed to Maryland.
George Wichelns, Connetquot, A, Sr.

Scored 43 goals with 37 assists. In two games against state champion Ward Melville's vaunted defense, he totaled six goals and five assists. Scored five goals, including game-winner against Northport. Committed to Maryland.

Guided Buccaneers (19-2) to the first county, Long Island and state boys lacrosse championships in school history, surviving a pair of one-goal playoff thrillers.
