Newsday Fencer of the Year: Arianna Ferretti, Ward Melville, Sr.

Ferretti's final varsity season was filled with success on both the individual and team level. She won the individual county championship in epee after going 33-2 in dual meets, and also won gold at the Jeff Wolfe Holiday Tournament at Brentwood.
She was also a veteran leader on a Patriots team that won the Long Island Championship. "This was a special year being a captain and having more of a leadership role," she said. "I'm going to remember the people and being part of this team. I'll always take these memories with me."
Crystal Chen, Half Hollow Hills, Sr.

The Hills West standout went 33-7 in dual meets and won the Suffolk sabre championship for the second consecutive season.
Macy Meng, Great Neck South, Sr.

Meng helped lead the Rebels to an undefeated regular season and team county title, and also won the county individual title in epee after going 30-2 in dual meets.

The owner of Suffolk county's best dual meet record went 35-2 and also won gold in sabre at the Jeff Wolfe Holiday Tournament.
Lara Obedin, Ward Melville, Sr.

Obedin went 34-3 in dual meets and repeated as county foil champion.
Tia Petrides, Garden City, Jr.

Went 34-3 in dual meets and won her second consecutive county title in foil.
Shannon Sarker, Great Neck North

Sarker went 33-2 in dual meets and won the Nassau individual championship in sabre.
Coach of the Year: Catie Sagevick, Great Neck South
